Hello Readers!

I know when I was pregnant one of my favourite things to do was watch YouTube videos and read blogs about night time routines for babies, hoping I would get some sort of idea how to have my own routine.

So after many articles and YouTube videos and 11 months of my own experience, I feel like I've finally got my rhythm in tune with my baby's. At first, I thought it would never work but doing it every night so that Caleb could get used to the new routine it eventually just clicked! I'm going to share some of the things that I do in Caleb's night time routine that may work for you too.

I start by making sure Caleb has had a nap during the day it sets him up for the rest of the day and gives him the energy to make it to bedtime, without getting extremely cranky.

I'll give Caleb his dinner at 5.30/6pm, he's always been a fond eater and now that he's a bit older he's enjoying eating more solid foods.

At 6.30pm it's bath time and this is his favourite time of the night, he loves the water. A little helper that I use is Johnson's bedtime bath, it smells divine it has a natural calming aroma and has been clinically proven to help your baby to sleep better.

After his bath I'll get him all dried and put some baby powder in his little folds to stop them from rubbing, then I'll use some sudocrem to make sure he doesn't get nappy rash.

Once he has his nappy on I'll give him a little baby massage using lush's sleepy cream it contains cocoa butter and lavender water which is super relaxing! I was quite skeptical when I first read about the magic powers this body lotion had on baby's but it really does work wonders, the first time I used this cream after putting Caleb to bed I knocked out too with the smell of the cream on my hands. It also leaves his skin super soft and isn't sticky when it's drying.

I'll get Caleb's bottle ready and as I'm doing that he will have some quiet time, I hope to have Caleb in bed for 7.30 where he'll snooze the night away 💤

Thanks for reading
