Travel Essentials!

Hello Readers!

I thought I'd take this time to share with you all my travel essentials, being a very organised person (most of the time) I like to make sure I have everything sorted for a trip away. That panic making sure you've got all your travel documents, phone charger and toothbrush can be a hassle and something I can't stand.

So I've put together some things that I do to make sure I'm not forgetting anything important.

Travel Documents - I always like to make sure I have my boarding passes, visas (if needed) and my travel insurance printed out. It's always more reassuring knowing you have a paper copy just in case anything happened. I'd also write down time and dates of my flights on a page and keep it in my make up bag this way I never forget when my flights are or when I need to get going to the airport to catch that flight home.

Another big one is travel insurance, I know how easy it can be to push it to the side and not get it but it really does help to have it. Travel insurance can cover you for many different things but make sure yours covers you for things such as cancellations, medical expenses, evacuations, loss or delays and 24/7 assistance. This means that if anything was to happen to you that you know you will be looked after.

Clothes - We're all guilty of over packing but if you know you're going on a shopping trip here's my top tip! I'd put all my outfits I need in a carry on case then put that in a big case that's going to get checked on. Doing this gives you a big empty suitcase to fill with all those new goodies also means you're worry free of being overweight or even doing that thing where you have to sit on your case to get it closed.

Big confession you don't need your whole wardrobe for a trip away only pack what you need (what you really need). Look at the weather where you're going and decide if you're going to need jumpers or dresses, Sandals or boots? Moral of the story over packing doesn't do any of us any favours.

Activites -  Depending on where you are going in the world there is always something fun to do, why not have a look at city websites for tours or museums there is on offer. If you're in a warmer country why not check out the water parks or even have a beach day? There's always sightseeing and visiting important buildings every city has their beauty you just have to be willing to look for it.

Places like Amsterdam offer a really cool experience to see the city on a swing that sits on top of a building offering a once in a lifetime view of the city, or in Las Vegas the offer a zip line experience that whisks you down Freemont street talk about a way to see a city.

Toiletries - I know this seems like a silly one to even bring up but there have been way too many times I've forgotten a toothbrush and had to get another one. Ladies, you don't need that huge bottle of shampoo and conditioner in your case, travel sizes work just as good and they weigh so much less. Also if you are a lady have a look at the calendar and see if it's going to be that time of the month while you're away, if not pack a few emergency supplies. The same goes for the men too, travel size shower gel does wonders and saves space in your case. Make sure to have any medication that you need in your toiletries bag too, you don't want to be in a foreign country and not have your medication.

Electronics - Travel adapters are a key essential when traveling, I can't be the only one who forgets one and you're sat in the hotel using their WiFi trying to find the closest shop to buy one. So make sure that little helper is in that suitcase. Always make sure you've put your phone charger and camera charger or extra batteries into your bag. Most hotels nowadays have their own hairdryer in the rooms but if you wanted to bring straighteners so you're able to style your hair, wrap them up in a towel to make sure they stay safe during travel.

P.s Don't forget your headphones!

Thanks for reading,
